Parameters measure your physical characteristics – what your character can accomplish physically. There are three of these parameters: Strength, Speed, and Durability. Each parameter is ranked according to a letter, with E being the lowest and S being the highest. More on parameters below.
Strength measures raw physical power, or the amount of physical force one can exert on objects.
E – E-rank is below average human capacities. Children and sickly individuals have this level of physical strength; feats of strength in this rank are pitiful. Recovering patients and exercise-starved noblemen possess this rank.
D – D-rank represents average human capabilities. Most people possess this rank in Strength; feats of strength in this rank are decidedly unimpressive. The average villager or merchant possesses this rank.
C – C-rank is equal to the trained human being. Feats of strength are impressive to the common man, and muscle definition is visible at this stage. The average trained soldier or hardy farmer possesses this rank.
B – B-rank represents the peak of what normal human beings can achieve. These individuals can lift many times their own body weight and carry heavy objects for extended periods of time. This is the rank of historical figures renowned for their strength.
A – A-rank represents superhuman physical characteristics. No matter how hard a human tries and how naturally gifted he (or she) is, they can never achieve this rank without supernatural augmentation. These individuals can shatter concrete, tear off limbs as easily as snapping branches, and perform other tasks impossible for any human being to achieve. This is the rank of supernaturally augmented humans and monsters.
S – S-rank represents an individual with monstrous strength even by superhuman standards. Once again, completely impossible for any human being to achieve through mundane means; this time, however, even supernatural beings find difficulty achieving this level of power. Characters with this rank can tear through steel like paper, tear holes in stone walls just by punching, and perform other seemingly-miraculous feats. This is the rank of demigods and heroes of legend renowned for their strength.
Speed measures overall agility, reaction time, and flexibility. Note that higher Speed ranks without a corresponding high Durability score will inevitably damage the user’s body.
E – E-rank represents, once again, pathetically low agility and flexibility. Sickly individuals, children, and slugs possess this rank.
D – D-rank represents what an average human is capable of. Normal villagers possess this rank.
C – C-rank represents a trained body. Feats of speed are impressive by normal standards, although not impossible – at this stage, one can run a marathon with respectable competence. Trained soldiers and couriers typically possess this rank.
B – B-rank represents the peak of physical human capabilities. At this stage, individuals can move so fast that they appear to be a blur – this is the realm of historical figures famed for their speed.
A – A-rank represents superhuman speed. No matter how hard a human tries, they can never attain this level of speed naturally. Characters with this rank can move so fast that they are imperceptible to the human eye. Individuals with this rank include monsters specialized in speed and supernaturally augmented humans.
S – S-rank represents monstrous speed even by superhuman standards. Characters with this level of speed can not only move at speeds invisible to the human eye, they can react to arrows and create miniature sonic booms with their movement. This is the rank of heroes of legend famed for their speed. (Do note that without corresponding durability, moving at such speeds will damage one’s body.)
Durability measures vitality, resilience, and the amount of damage one can sustain before dying.
E – E-rank represents pathetic durability. Sickly individuals, children, and tree branches have this rank of durability.
D – D-rank represents the average healthy human. Normal villagers possess this rank.
C – C-rank represents a naturally tough or trained body. One can endure being bludgeoned with wooden implements for a longer time than the average human, for instance. This is the rank of the average trained soldier.
B – B-rank represents the peak of what a human being can endure. At this stage, one can sustain multiple stab wounds for prolonged periods of time. Historical figures famed for their endurance are found here.
A – A-rank represents superhuman durability. At this stage, one can shrug off sword blows and even survive a cannon blast, albeit with moderate injuries. Monsters and superhuman individuals possess this rank.
S – S-rank represents durability greater than even what is “normally” superhumanly possible. At this stage, one can tank cannon blasts and spells of analogous destructive capacity entirely; mundane weapons like swords and crossbow bolts merely break against this character’s skin. This is the rank of heroes of legend and myth.
Important Note: A and S ranks are extremely difficult to attain without magical boosts. If your character possesses either of these ranks in any of the parameters in their biographies without justification, they will be vetoed.
Skills are the mundane abilities your character possesses. While the measures behind how physically capable you are is determined by Parameters, how well you get it done is determined by Skills. Anyone can perform a skill, but not everyone can do it as well as you can. Some examples of skills are swordplay, horseback riding, and sleight of hand.
E – E-rank represents basic knowledge of a skill. Individuals who have only read up on said skill for around a month belong to this skill level.
D – D-rank represents the average practitioner's level of skill. At this level, one can practice the skill professionally; however, the quality of their work will be nothing exceptional.
C – C-rank represents someone who's either naturally talented at the skill or has been training in it all their life. Higher-ranking guild members and seasoned veterans possess this level of skill in a profession.
B – B-rank represents an expert, someone who has attained mastery of a craft. Guildmasters and master combatants possess this level of skill.
A – A-rank represents a combination of a lifetime of training and a unique genius. This is the realm of Leonardo da Vinci or Albert Einstein. A character with this rank needs to have worked tirelessly to attain it their entire lives, so don't go slapping around A-ranked skills wherever you see fit.
